A cannabis transdermal patch is an adhesive based patch that is placed on the skin to deliver a specific dose of cannabinoids into the bloodstream over time.
What are the main ingredients in the patch and how do they work?
Tetrahydrocannabinol or THC is the most commonly known active ingredient in cannabis. THC is typically responsible for psychoactive effects, as well as alleviating inflammation.
Cannabidiol or CBD is the secondary cannabinoid in cannabis and produces a sedative effect. It is also responsible for easing the discomfort associated with rheumatoid arthritis, some autoimmune disorders, diabetes, and epilepsy, among many others. There are currently studies exploring its anti-cancer potential.
Both of these cannabinoids are metabolites of their decarboxylated acidic forms (THCa and CBDa). They are either heated or extracted to produce THC and CBD, neither of which become psychoactive without one of these processes. Many patients are not looking for a “high” so the medical benefits without the side effects are very appealing.
What are the disadvantages of transdermal delivery?
There have been a few disadvantages including skin irritation from the adhesive, certain skin pigmentation can cause low delivery, fast metabolism can cause low delivery, and the effects may be too intense for first time users.
Does the patch have a euphoric effect?
The THC patch will provide a euphoric effect from the THC cannabinoid. The CBD 1:1 patch has equal parts of THC and CBD. It could possibly provide a euphoric effect but would most likely be canceled out by the interaction of the THC and CBD together. The High CBD patch has very minimal THC and will not create a euphoric effect.
How does it work?
The cannabis transdermal patch provides the delivery of THC & CBD cannabinoids directly into the bloodstream and allows one to get a set dose every hour up to 24 or 36hrs.
Do I have to apply the patch to the area I am trying to treat?
No! The patch is not a spot treatment and can be placed anywhere on your skin that is comfortable for you. Make sure you do not place it over a tattoo, somewhere hairy, or on sensitive skin.
Can you cut them into multiple doses?
Yes, the patches can be cut into pieces, still allowing for a 24 or 36-hour time release. Depending on how they are cut will affect the dose of cannabis that is being delivered into the bloodstream.
If you’re uncomfortable with the effects of the patch can you take the patch off?
Yes! If one is feeling overwhelmed with the effects you can take the patch off and the delivery will stop within 45 minutes.
How do you know if you are getting a consistent hourly dose of cannabis?
Synergy Skin Worx Transdermal Patches were created by professional and are tested with a third party lab to ensure our absorption and delivery rates are accurate. The patches are tested on cadaver skin to ensure our flux rates are showing delivery into the bloodstream.

You can use the patch without side effects by choosing what ratio best fits your needs. Unlike other ways to use cannabis the patch is going directly into the bloodstream for optimal cannabis absorption.
Why are there alcohol pads included in the packaging?
